Protests continue in Mexico City's Historic Center as of September 23; avoid protests as precaution

A protest that was organized by the National Citizen Front group continues in Mexico City's Historic Center as of Wednesday, September 23. Protesters are maintaining a sit-in protest between Avenida Juarez  and Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, a major transit route, and Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Anti-government demonstrators initially gathered in Mexico City on Saturday, September 19, to demand the resignation of President Andres Manuel Obrador.

A heightened security presence and localized disruptions to transport are to be expected in the vicinity of the demonstrations.
