Venezuela: Multiple military personnel killed in security operation in Apure state on September 18

Venezuelan authorities announced on Monday, September 21, that at least four members of the National Armed Forces were killed in a security operation near El Nula (Apure state) on Saturday, September 19. The operation was reportedly to stem illegal cross-border activities involving Colombian criminals. At least 15 Colombian criminals were killed in the armed confrontation with the Armed Forces, who seized multiple weapons during the operation.
