Israel/Palestinian Terr.: IDF strikes Hamas targets in Gaza on October 20

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out several airstrikes against Hamas underground structures in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening, October 20. The strikes were reportedly in retaliation to a rocket launched into southern Israel from the territory, and targeted areas surrounding Khan Yunis and Rafah. No injuries were immediately reported in Israel or Gaza.

Continued attacks on Israeli border communities are possible in the near term, as well as Israeli retaliatory airstrikes. Further escalation of the situation cannot be ruled out.
