Two drivers were killed and two mechanics were injured after two freight trains collided in Kalecik district (Ankara province) on Saturday, October 10. The collision occurred on the Kalecik-Kinkkale line. Both trains were reportedly empty at the time of the collision, which occurred near Kalecik station at around 06:30 (local time). Several carriages derailed as a result of the collision. Emergency services were deployed to the scene and an investigation has been launched into how the incident occurred.
