Demonstrators are set to gather in Beirut on Saturday, November 7, to denounce the government's handling of the country's fiscal situation as well as call for an end to corruption. Participants of the event will reportedly gather from 16:00 (local time) outside Banque du Liban headquarters. The event is expected to be well attended.
A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.
