Peru: Protesters clash with police in Lima amid nationwide anti-government demonstrations November 12

On Monday, November 9, Peru's Congress voted to impeach Vizcarra over allegations he handed out government contracts in return for bribes. Vizcarra said he would accept the vote, not take any legal action, and leave the presidential palace.
