Anti-government opposition activists will demonstrate in central Yerevan Dec. 24 to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Starting at 1000, activists will gather in front of the Government building attempting to prevent members of the government from entering the building. The rally will likely be well attended. Additional related demonstrations are possible through Dec. 26.
Police will almost certainly deploy to monitor the rally; crowd-control measures, including possible movement restrictions, will likely prompt localized traffic and transport disruptions. Isolated clashes between protesters and law enforcement are possible.

Avoid the protest as a standard security precaution. Allow additional time for travel in central Yerevan Dec. 24. Heed the instructions of local authorities. If violence erupts nearby, leave the area immediately.
