Presidente Carlos Ibanez del Campo International Airport (PUQ) in Punta Arenas was evacuated Dec. 30 after authorities determined that a family of five people, at least some of whom tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), had been in the terminal and boarded an aircraft. Airport officials ordered the evacuation to allow crews to sanitize the facility. Flight disruptions are likely through the end of Dec. 30.
