Morocco: Ground transport companies to hold nationwide strike Dec. 21-22

Moroccan ground transport companies operating between Morocco and Europe plan to stage a 48-hour nationwide strike Dec. 21-22. The purpose of the labor action is to protest Spain's reactivation of a tax on Moroccan trucks arriving at the port of Algeciras with more than 200 liters (53 gallons) of fuel.

Ground transport disruptions and localized business disruptions are likely for the duration of the strike.
