PT: Palestinian killed amid clashes with IDF in Mughayir, West bank on December 4

Event

A Palestinian teenager was killed, and at least four other Palestinian protesters were injured, amid clashes with Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers in the town of Mughayir, located approximately 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Ramallah in the West Bank Dec. 4. Local Palestinian authorities reported that the IDF soldiers fired live bullets and tear gas canisters, resulting in casualties. The demonstration was reportedly against a new Israeli settlement outpost in the area.

Further protest activity and clashes between IDF soldiers and Palestinian protesters are likely throughout the West Bank in the coming days. Additional security operations in the vicinity of Mughayir cannot be ruled out over the short term in response to the clashes.
