Turkey: Reports of injuries during security operations in Kahramanmaras on December 3

At least five people, including two police officers, have been shot and injured in a hotel on Milli Egemenlik Street in Dulkadiroğlu District, Kahramanmaras, the morning of December 3. The incident appears to have taken place during a police operation to arrest a murder suspect. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the suspect has been arrested.

Heightened security and related disruptions are likely around the hotel; sporadic security operations could prompt traffic and public transport disruptions in the coming days until it is confirmed that the suspect has been detained.
