Warning

Event

Authorities in the US Virgin Islands (USVI) maintain unchanged several travel restrictions as of March 29, as part of ongoing efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. Some business restrictions have been eased.

Every traveler aged five and over entering the USVI must use the online Traveler Screening Portal to upload a negative COVID-19 test taken up to five days before arrival; without clearance from the Traveler Screening Portal, individuals may not be allowed to travel into the USVI. Travelers will be subject to mandatory temperature testing and possible additional health screening upon arrival. Vaccinated individuals are not exempt from the measures, and must also submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

Domestic Measures
Authorities have eased some business restrictions. Existing measures represent the third level - Safer at Home - in the territory's five-level scale, which ranges from Total Quarantine to New Normal. Measures in place include:

  • The wearing of facemasks is mandatory in all commercial entities.

  • All gatherings are limited to 50 people for both indoor and outdoor settings.

  • All approved businesses and facilities are required to ensure that customers maintain a distance of 1.8 meters (6 feet) from one another.

  • Restaurants may open at 75-percent capacity.

  • Bars and nightclubs may open at 50-percent capacity but must suspend the sale of alcohol nightly by 23:00 and close by midnight.

  • Beaches can remain open until 17:00 on weekends and holidays but must close at 16:00 on weekdays.

All restrictions are subject to amendment at short notice.
