A passenger train collided with a locomotive near Nemcice nad Hanou, Olomouc Region, approximately 40 km (25 miles) east of Brno, at around 13:26 July 31. At least three people have been injured. Severe rail disruptions are occurring between Nezamyslice and Prerov.

Disruptions are likely at least through the end of the day as authorities investigate the incident and conduct recovery and repair operations.
