Saint Kitts and Nevis: Government modifies and extends COVID-19-related movement restrictions until Aug. 9 /update 32

Event

Authorities in Saint Kitts and Nevis have modified and extended nationwide restrictions on movement until at least Aug. 9 to curb the spread of COVID-19. Under the directives, a nationwide 23:01-05:00 curfew is in effect. During curfew hours, all persons except for essential workers and those attending to medical emergencies must remain at home. Mass gatherings and private parties are banned, and masks must be worn on buses, taxis, and passenger ferries.

The new regulations permit businesses throughout the country to resume their operations so long as they abide by social distancing protocols.

International Travel Restrictions
All incoming travelers, including those arriving by private vessel, must:

• Present a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before travel.

• Complete a health entry form before departure; the form must be submitted no later than 24 hours before travel.

• Submit a copy of a COVID-19 vaccination record.

• Undergo a health screening at the airport, which includes a temperature check and a health questionnaire (Travelers presenting symptoms of COVID-19 may be required to take an additional PCR test).

All travelers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must remain in quarantine for at least three days and take a COVID-19 PCR test on the fourth day. Such travelers will be allowed to leave quarantine upon receiving negative results from the test. Unvaccinated travelers must remain in a government quarantine facility for 14 days; unvaccinated minors who are accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents must only remain in quarantine as long as their parents do.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
