Unionized workers at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) have ended a weeklong strike at the company's facilities in Ulsan as of July 14. More than 8,000 members participated in the labor action, which began July 6. The workers' union reached a tentative agreement with management the evening of July 13, with HHI promising to increase basic wages. However, workers will vote on the offer July 16. Union members have previously voted against two HHI offers during the current 26-month long negotiation, and the union could call for another strike if they vote down the latest deal.
