Further protests are possible at University of Liberia campuses over the coming days following recent demonstrations and clashes between protesters and police at the institution's Monrovia location. Students affiliated with the Vanguard Student Unification Party (SUP) held a demonstration Aug. 2 demanding the cancellation of the university's e-learning program. Security forces fired rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse protesters attempting to pass through police-erected barriers, reportedly wounding more than 10 people.
