Informational

Event

Special security and traffic measures will be in place during Singapore's National Day Parade (NDP) Aug. 21; however, related events will be smaller than in previous years due to COVID-19 related controls. Authorities have declared NDP as an enhanced special security event and demarcated areas around The Float @ Marina Bay as special event areas. Strict security screenings will be in place for vehicles and pedestrians within the site from 00:01 until 23:59. Police will close some traffic lanes on Marina Boulevard, Fullerton Road, Collyer Quay, and Raffles Quay throughout Aug. 21. Authorities will close all lanes on Republic Boulevard, Raffles Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Bayfront Avenue, Raffles Avenue, as well as parts of Nicoll Highway and Esplanade Drive, from 11:00-23:59.

Transport disruptions, including public bus route diversions and increased public transport congestion, are likely around event sites through Aug. 21 due to NDP programs and related preparations.

Advice

Allow additional time to reach destinations around The Float @ Marina Bay through Aug. 21. Confirm road status and transport reservations before traveling.
