Malaysia: Planned water supply disruptions to occur in parts of Negeri Sembilan Oct. 12

Planned 24-hour water supply disruption to occur in Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, from 08:00 Oct. 12.

The Negeri Sembilan Water Company (SAINS) has announced a planned 24-hour water outage in Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, and Seremban districts in Negeri Sembilan from 08:00 Oct. 12 due to cleaning and maintenance works. The affected areas are as follows:

  • Seremban: Broga Pajam, Kampung Jijan, Kampung Kubang, Kampung Tanjung, Kuala Lumpur International Airport Quarters (KLIA), Lenggeng, Mantin, Mayang Sari, Nilai, and Nilai Perdana. Industrial areas like Arab Malaysian Industrial Park, Enstek Eco Park Industry, Industri Nilai 7, Nilai Industrial area, and Semarak 2 Industrial area, among others, will also be affected.

  • Jelebu: Pasoh 1, Pasoh 2, Pasoh 3, Pasoh 4, Simpang Pertang, Pertang, Geylang, Parit Gong, Jalan Simpang Pertang and surrounding areas.

  • Kuala Pilah: Kuala Pilah Town, Dioh, Kampung Sungai Dua Kecil, Kampung Sungai Dua Besar, Jalan Seremban Lama, Kampung Parit, Kampung Parit Seberang, Rumah Rakyat Ampang Tinggi, Kampung Telok, Kampung Pulau Pandan and Kampung Parit Mungkal.

SAINS stated that the water supply would resume in stages after the completion of maintenance work.

Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely heavily on municipal water to maintain operations.

Advice

Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for commercial operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage.
