Informational

Event

Water supply disruptions are ongoing at around 156 areas of Sepang and Kuala Langat districts in Selangor State as of Oct. 19. Air Selangor attributed the disruptions to a burst pipe and closed off the water supply to carry out maintenance works. The company added that the water supply will resume from 18:00 Oct. 20 and has deployed trucks with water tanks to essential venues like hospitals.

Business disruptions are possible during water disruptions or outages, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water for their operations.

Advice

Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage.
