The Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) plans to protest at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Karachi on Oct. 17. Participants intend to denounce the central government's economic policies; the protest will also mark the 14th anniversary of a bombing that targeted a political procession in Karachi Oct. 18 that killed dozens of people. The protest will likely commence in the morning and continue through at least the early afternoon. Hundreds to a few thousand people will likely attend.
