Unionized workers from several transport and construction unions plan to demonstrate in Tokyo Nov. 7. The action is to protest poor working conditions and the alleged undermining of labor and union rights, among other issues. Protesters plan to gather at the Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall 12:00-15:00 before commencing a march to Tokyo Station via Ginza. Organizers claim up to 10,000 people may participate in the demonstration; the actual turnout will probably be lower.

Heightened security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely in central Tokyo through the afternoon of Nov. 7. The protest will probably pass peacefully.
