Officials end boil water advisory for parts of Timaru District, New Zealand, as of Dec. 3.

The Timaru District Council has lifted a boil water advisory for the Taiko/Sutherlands, Waitohi, Waimate, Te Moana, and Geraldine Downs zones in Downlands and Te Moana as of Dec. 3. Officials issued the order Nov. 29 due to increased silt in the water supply. Local officials conducted multiple tests of the water supply to ensure its safety.

Timaru District is about 125 km (77 miles) southwest of Christchurch.
