Air defense systems reportedly intercepted two drones targeting Ain al-Asad Airbase in Al Anbar Governorate the morning of Jan. 4. There have been no reports of casualties; authorities have not confirmed if any damage occurred. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The base is approximately 180 km (112 miles) northwest of Baghdad.
