Iraq: Two explosions reported in Karada, Baghdad, late Jan. 16

Two explosions occurred in Baghdad's Karada neighborhood late Jan. 16. The blasts reportedly targeted a bank and a liquor store in the area. Preliminary information suggests two persons were injured in the incidents; there have been no immediate reports of damage. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks; however, a number of blasts targeting political party offices have taken place in recent days throughout Baghdad.
