Authorities are enforcing amended COVID-19 international entry restrictions as of Jan. 5. All travelers must show either proof of full vaccination or recent recovery, as well as a negative COVID-19 test result before entry; authorities accept PCR tests no older than 72 hours or antigen tests no older than 48 hours. Citizens and permanent residents of Montenegro may enter the country without proof of vaccination or recovery, though would need to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival; the self-isolation period may end on day three on confirmation of a negative PCR test result. Officials plan to review all COVID-19-related measures Jan. 13.
Domestic Measures
Indoor public events are suspended. Individuals must possess a National Digital COVID Certificate or otherwise prove they are fully vaccinated, recently recovered, or have a recent negative PCR test result taken within the previous 72 hours (or an antigen result taken within the previous 48 hours) to access certain facilities, including catering establishments, cinemas, and museums. Private gatherings such as weddings and birthday parties are suspended. Individuals must wear facemasks in indoor public spaces and adhere to social distancing rules.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
