Emergency crews are continuing operations in response to a fire at a textile factory in Nam-gu, Ulsan City, as of Jan. 24. The blaze, which started at around 18:55 Jan. 23, reportedly spread to a nearby warehouse. Reports indicate that at least two factory workers were sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is unclear. The Ulsan Fire Department has mobilized a total of 650 firefighters and 80 fire engines to contain the blaze.
Heightened security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely in the area. Localized transport disruptions may last through at least the afternoon of Jan. 24. Operations at nearby facilities may also face delays or interruptions. Lingering disruptions are possible after firefighting and investigations end.
