Bosnia and Herzegovina: Authorities maintaining COVID-19-related restrictions nationwide as of Feb. 4 /update 36
Bosnia and Herzegovina maintaining COVID-19-related restrictions as of Feb. 4.
Event
Authorities are maintaining COVID-19 restrictions as of Feb. 3. Both the domestic measures and international travel restrictions remain unchanged since November 2021.
Domestic Measures
Nonessential businesses, including restaurants, bars, and shops, are open unless otherwise indicated and are subject to hygiene and social distancing requirements. Limits are in place for both public and private gatherings. Larger events must adhere to capacity limits, and participants must have proof of COVID-19 vaccination, recovery from the virus, or a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken within the previous 48 hours. The use of facemasks and social distancing are mandatory in indoor and outdoor public spaces.
International Travel Restrictions
Foreign nationals can enter the country provided they possess documentation showing they have been fully vaccinated against, recovered from, or tested negative for COVID-19. The test must be taken within 48 hours before arrival if traveling from somewhere in Europe or 72 hours if arriving from outside Europe.
Cabin and freight crews, diplomats, foreign military personnel stationed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and passengers transiting the country do not need to provide a negative test. Citizens of Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro and their immediate families can enter without a negative COVID-19 test result, provided they are entering from their country of citizenship.
Authorities may extend or amend restrictions with little to no advance notice, depending on disease activity in the country.
Advice
Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Reconfirm all travel arrangements. Liaise with trusted contacts for further updates and guidance. Maintain contact with your diplomatic representation. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or extensions of current restrictions.
