Further violence is possible in Moyen-Chari after violence in Sandana left up to 15 people dead Feb. 9. The violence involved farmers and herders and was triggered by the death of a local near Sandana. The deceased's family members (Fulani herders) accused farmers of being behind the killing. The violence has reportedly ceased as of Feb. 11.

Context
