Protesters clashed with security forces in Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Feb. 14, leaving at least six members of the security forces wounded. The number of casualties among protesters is unclear. Additionally, security forces arrested some 17 demonstrators after protesters burned a military vehicle and blocked Al-Nasr Bridge with burning tires. Demonstrators reportedly organized the protest to demand that authorities improve the provision of public services in the area, including through the construction of a hospital in nearby Karma Beni Said.
