Nigeria: Nationwide aviation strike due to start Feb. 8, called off /update 1

Union representatives have called off the nationwide indefinite aviation strike slated to begin Feb. 8 following talks with government officials. Government officials have agreed to improve working conditions and to raise salaries by March 31. Further strikes are possible if the government does not fulfill its promises.
