Students are protesting near the University of Adekunle Ajasin in Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Feb. 4 to denounce frequent road incidents following the recent death of a fellow student. Protesters have caused traffic gridlock along the Ikare road connecting Akungba Akoko to Ikare Akoko.

Police will likely deploy to the affected areas. Localized traffic disruptions are likely to persist over the coming hours nearby the university and along the affected road. Clashes between security forces and protesters cannot be ruled out.
