The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party plans to hold a protest march in Cape Town from 10:00 Feb. 23 to demand the government reject loans from international institutions. Supporters will gather at Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s District 6 campus before marching to the parliament building. Dozens to hundreds of people could participate in the demonstration.

Heightened security and localized business and transport disruptions are likely along the march route. While clashes are unlikely, they remain possible if demonstrators are overly disruptive or if they ignore police orders to disperse.
