Officials in Grenada ease some COVID-19-related domestic measures and international travel restrictions as of March 4.

Warning

Event

Authorities in Grenada have eased some of the country's COVID-19-related restrictions as of March 4. Under the current directives, individuals no longer have to provide identification and contact numbers when entering businesses, and those traveling to Grenada are now allowed to enter with a negative result from an antigen test taken within one day before arrival. Previously, only negative PCR test results were accepted for entry; individuals may still travel to Grenada with a negative result from a PCR test taken within three days before arrival.

Domestic Measures
Grenada's existing health state of emergency will remain in effect until at least May. Wearing a facemask remains mandatory in public spaces and only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to dine in at restaurants.

International Travel Restrictions
All travelers must complete a Travel Health Declaration Form; to access the form, click here.

All incoming travelers over five years of age must produce a negative result from either a PCR test taken within three days prior to arrival in Grenada or an antigen test taken within one day prior to arrival. Travelers arriving by sea with a negative PCR test result must have taken the PCR test within 72 hours before embarkation from the last port of call before arrival in Grenada. Incoming travelers are subject to health screening upon arrival, which may include COVID-19 testing.

Foreign nationals must generally be fully vaccinated to enter Grenada; travelers are considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their second dose in a two-shot series (e.g., AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, or Sinovac) or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson/Janssen).

Permitted unvaccinated travelers (e.g., citizens and residents of Grenada) must have a confirmed reservation at an approved accommodation for quarantine. The quarantine period for unvaccinated travelers is seven days; on the fifth day of the quarantine period, unvaccinated travelers must take a second PCR test and may leave quarantine following receipt of a negative result and clearance from public health officials. Individuals who test positive must remain in quarantine for an additional 14 days. Unvaccinated travelers must pay for a required on-arrival PCR test ahead of their trip; to access the online payment portal, click here.

Authorities could tighten, ease, or otherwise amend existing restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
