Nigeria: Explosion in Iware, Taraba State, kills at least three people and injures several others April 19

A grenade blast killed at least three people and injured up to 19 others in the village of Iware in Ardo Kola Local Government Area, Taraba State, April 19. The casualty count could rise as emergency response and investigations continue. According to local sources, the explosion occurred in a local bar. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Increased security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely through at least early April 20.

Iware is around 155 km (96 miles) southwest of Yola, Adamawa State.
