The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for parts of north-central Iowa, including parts of Wright, Kossuth, Hancock, and Humboldt counties, effective until at least 19:45 CDT April 12. The warning has been issued due to a confirmed large tornado, located about 19 km (12 miles) northeast of Dakota City, that is moving northeastward at around 80 kph (50 mph). The weather warning could be extended or expanded at short notice.
