French Polynesia lifts COVID-19 health pass requirement, eases pandemic-related entry restrictions as of May 19.

As of May 19, authorities in French Polynesia have lifted the territory's requirement that individuals possess a COVID-19 health pass in order to visit medical facilities. The government has also ended pre-departure COVID-19 testing for fully vaccinated travelers. Additionally, officials have lifted a requirement that unvaccinated arrivals from France and designated "green" locations present a compelling reason for travel. The rule still applies to "orange" zone locations, including Australia, mainland China, and Russia.

A facemask mandate remains in place at health establishments.
International Travel Restrictions
The government permits entry for most travelers without quarantine; inbound passengers must have received a booster dose within nine months of their second dose to enter the territory. Unvaccinated travelers must take a PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours before departure.

Follow all official orders. Consider delaying travel if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they may prompt increased scrutiny, delays, and quarantine.
