Motorcyclists plan to gather and demonstrate around Washington, DC, on May 29, to commemorate individuals killed in wars or missed in action. The event is known as Rolling to Remember.

Activists plan to gather at a parking lot outside RFK Stadium, starting at 07:00, and from there leave at 12:00 to the National Mall, and then exit Washington, DC through the 14th Street Bridge.

Authorities have said they plan to close several streets to the public between 04:00-17:00 May 29, including:

  • Independence Avenue eastbound, between 19th Street Southeast and the entrance to RFK Stadium Lot 8

  • East Capitol Street between 19th Street to 22nd Street Southeast

  • 22nd Street between C Street and Independence Avenue Southeast

  • Southeast Boulevard between Barney Circle and 11th Street Southeast

Multiple other streets will be closed between 09:00-17:00 May 29, including parts of Pennsylvania Avenue and Constitution Avenue.

Hundreds of motorcyclists are likely to participate in the event, which is likely to create transport disruptions. Heightened security around RFK Stadium and the National Mall is likely.
