They are demanding an end to the logging of old growth forests in the province. It is unclear how many people are attending or how long the event will last.

The protest is blocking two southbound lanes, but northbound the road is open. Significant transport disruptions are likely for the coming hours connecting West and North Vancouver with downtown Vancouver.
