Mexico: Protesters staging rally on Via Morelos in Ecatepec, Mexico State, June 27

Employees of the Institute of Social Security (Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, IMSS) are protesting near the Puente de Fierro bridge on Via Morelos in Ecatepec, Mexico state, June 27. The purpose of the demonstration is to demand the reconstruction of a clinic that was demolished by an earthquake in 2019.

Localized transport disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the rally. Police will probably deploy to monitor the demonstration. Clashes between protesters and police cannot be ruled out, especially if police attempt to forcibly disperse the crowd.
