Event
Activists have planned several protests and marches in central Santiago July 4, coinciding with a Constitutional Convention ceremony at the former National Congress Headquarters. Authorities will implement several traffic diversions, including along portions of Morande, San Antonio, Monjitas, Merced, Manuel Rodriguez, and Huerfanos. Additionally, Compania Street will be completely closed to traffic. Heightened security will be implemented around key infrastructure, especially government buildings.

From 07:30: Ancestral ceremony in central Santiago, exact location remains unconfirmed.
From 09:00: March from Cerro Santa Lucia to the former National Congress Headquarters
From 12:00: Student groups will protest at the intersection of Avenida Ricardo Cumming Street and Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins (also known as La Alameda).
Other gatherings throughout the capital are likely throughout July 4. Common protest locations include Plaza Baquedano (also known as Plaza Italia) and Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins. Clashes are possible, especially if security forces attempt to disperse demonstrators. Significant disruptions are likely to persist in central Santiago throughout July 4. Further demonstrations are also likely in the coming days.
