The government of Namibia announced on July 15 that it had lifted all of the nation's remaining COVID-19-related restrictions. Authorities plan to switch from a containment approach to the virus to a mitigation strategy. Nevertheless, foreign travelers must still show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to enter Namibia. The government in Windhoek also plans to step up its domestic vaccination program.

Officials could reimpose restrictions at any time with little-to-no notice depending on changes in disease activity.
