Informational

Event

The water agency Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco) announced that maintenance activities would cause planned water supply disruptions in parts of Ho Chi Minh City 22:00 July 23-04:00 July 24. Outages will occur in all parts of Binh Tan and Hoc Mon districts, and some wards of districts Binh Chanh, Go Vap, and Tan Phu districts, as well as Districts 6, 8, and 12. Additionally, some wards in Binh Chanh and Tan Binh districts will experience low water pressure.

While some residents may rely on private water suppliers and water tankers during water shortages, such services may be limited due to increased demand. Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water. Prolonged and recurrent water supply disruptions are possible in Ho Chi Minh City in the coming days.

Advice

Stock up on drinking water in advance. Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
