Activists plan to demonstrate at Firdows Square in Baghdad from 16:00 Sept. 26 in support of anti-government protests in Iran. The protests in Iran began Sept. 16 following the death of a woman - Mahsa Amini - in police custody. Dozens to hundreds of individuals could attend the demonstration.

Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near Firdows Square through the evening of Sept. 26. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if demonstrators are overly disruptive or ignore police orders to disperse.
