Mexico: Authorities to close Mexico City International Airport 09:00-14:00 Sept. 16 for Independence Day celebrations

Officials will halt flight operations at Mexico City International Airport (MEX) from 09:00-14:00 Sept. 16 for events to celebrate the 212th anniversary of Mexico's independence. Commercial and private flights to and from MEX will be suspended to allow for a military acrobatics display.

Delays to flights on Sept. 16 are possible, though these are unlikely to be severe or long lasting.
