Emirates (EK) has announced Sept. 1 the resumption of flights to and from Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) from Sept. 11 after previously announcing it will cancel all flights to and from Nigeria effective Sept. 1 due to unresolved issues with relevant authorities to repatriate funds from Nigeria. Flights to and from Abuja Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV) remain suspended until further notice. The company will propose alternative routes or a full refund to affected travelers.

There will likely be heightened demand for alternative available flights during the suspension period.
