Chad: Foreigner reported kidnapped in Wadi Fira Oct. 29

Chadian authorities stated Oct. 29 that a conservationist with dual French and Australian citizenship had been kidnapped in the Wadi Fira region of the country on Oct. 28. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it was in contact with Chadian authorities to secure the release of its national. No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction yet.
