An airstrike reportedly killed at least five people and wounded 37 others in Dengolat, Tigray Region, Oct. 7. Ethiopian government officials did not immediately comment on the incident. The casualty count may rise over the coming hours. Dengolat is located about 25 km (15 miles) southwest of the regional capital Mekelle.

Further military operations and armed clashes are likely in and around the Tigray Region over the medium term.
