Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh State, Oct 11. The state leader will arrive at 17:30 to address a gathering and inaugurate the preliminary expansion of the Mahakaleshwar Hindu temple. The prime minister will likely arrive and depart from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport (IDR) in Indore.

Officials will deploy at least 500 security personnel during the state leader’s visit. Authorities have banned the use of drones around the temple. Increased security is highly likely near any sites hosting official events on the prime minister’s itinerary. Tight security is almost certain near IDR as the leader arrives and departs Madhya Pradesh. Security forces could temporarily block roads near event sites as a precaution to facilitate the passage of the state leader’s motorcade. Localized transport disruptions are likely near event sites.

Ujjain is approximately 55 km (34 miles) northwest of Indore.
