The Indian National Congress (INC) party has called for a protest outside the residence of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in Khatkar Kalan, Punjab State, Oct. 21. Organizers are demanding the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dismiss Minister Fauja Singh Sarari for alleged corruption, as well as denouncing the AAP chief's remarks equating ministers facing corruption charges to Bhagat Singh. The start time is unclear; rallies typically occur from the late morning through the afternoon. A few hundred participants may join the event.
Police will likely monitor the gathering and may attempt to prevent or control especially large and/or disruptive crowds. Skirmishes between demonstrators and police may occur. Temporary road closures and/or traffic diversions may affect roadways near the rally site.
