Iraqi authorities are maintaining precautionary measures as of Oct. 2 to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Domestic Measures
All large gatherings including concerts, sporting events, and conferences, remain banned. Authorities are also maintaining mandatory social distancing protocols and the use of facemasks in public.

International Travel Restrictions
Airports in the country are operational. Travelers entering or leaving Iraq must present proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Individuals who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons will have to provide a medical report approved by health authorities and a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the flight. The measure applies to all airports in the country including those in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Authorities could ease restrictions related to COVID-19 or implement additional preventative measures, depending on the disease activity in the coming days and weeks.
